Westco Scientific Instruments, Inc. was formed in 1987 as a manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket consumables for clinical laboratories. In addition, Westco supplied consumables to a number of analytical instrument manufacturers. Key acquisitions in 1991 expanded Westcos product range to include the industrial and environmental laboratory marketplace as well. Westcos first instrument products were peripheral products and sample preparation products that were sold on an OEM basis to other analytical instrument manufacturers.
