The PHOENIX series of Fusion Machines are designed to allow the preparation of permanent and homogeneous fused beads under accurately reproducible conditions. There are a number of models available, each with a variety of options to suit individual requirements, options include: loss on ignition, ammonium iodide injection and oxygen injection. Machines can be made to your specifications. Samples are dissolved and mixed into a lithium borate flux at temperatures ranging from 300 to 1600 degrees Celsius. Typical fusion temperature is 1050 degrees Celsius This is done over oxygenenriched flames using specially designed burners. The sample is automatically poured into preheated moulds. The moulds are then retracted over separate cooling jets for precise control of cooling.
